KAISHO 楷書- Block style (regular script / standard script)
GYOUSHO 行書- Semi cursive style
SOUSHO 草書- Cursive style

kouchou haru wo wasurukoto fukashi
Meaning:
鶯は窓外で終日呟いている
Bush warbler (Uguisu)has been singing all day outside the window.

Calligraphy text for the month of February :
5 Kanji characters in Kaisho-style
with small-medium brush.
( for – intermediate and upper intermediate students-)
「江梅帯雪香」
江梅雪を帯びて香ばし
KOUBAI YUKI WO OBITE KOUBASHI
(meaning)
川辺の梅の花は 雪をおびて 香りを 放っている
Plum flowers at the river covered with a belt of snow,
spreading over their spring fragrance.
OUKAKU – 横画 – Horizontal lines –
There is three types of Oukakau Horizontal lines.
1. flat / TAIRA 平ら
2. bending upwards / UWA-ZORI 上反り
3.bending downwards / SHITA-ZORI 下反り
